  1. It kind of reminds me of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, except culture is likened to a dream that exist prior to our births and gives us the tools (in the form of language and words) to express the space of infinite creativity (the multitudinous nature of meaning) that is both within and outer and neither within and outer.

    These parts spoke to me:

"Schubert in water, and Mozart in birdsongs,
And Goethe whistling on the winding path,
And Hamlet reasoning with timid footsteps,
Measured the pulse of the crowd and believed the crowd.

Maybe before there were lips, there was already a whisper,
And leaves circled around in treelessness.
And those to whom we dedicate our learning
Prior to any learning acquired their traits.

    ...

The child says not a word —
    In little eternity’s cradle
    Slumbers a big universe."

The universe of symbols is born from a recursion in culture that is also reflective of the individual mind's recursion and the universe we abide in... I don't know, maybe I am being to esoteric or abstract for my own good. Recursion is a very important topic to contemplate on in relation to imagination and of transcendental experiences. A recursion without a narrative center seems possible with daily solitude and meditation.
