  2. sepehr could you please look at the new rule in the blog header !

i have found it prudential over the years to completely avoid horror movies and books because i am imaginative, live a solitary life, am often out at night and it's a waste of time anyway, which i assume you are still going full bore on . .

    wasting your time . .

no meditation, no contemplation, no solitude because you so little understand yourself that you are discomforted by a leading neuro cognitive-network paper !

it's a brilliant paper that and then you plaster some-one else's bullshit !

really if you are not going to do the work, please go away like zakaj !

  3. Algernon Blackwood can be pretty spiritual, especially the Willows. Not all horror is divorced from the sacred.

    1. full of bullshit as usual with another "flick off" post, no addressing the fact you never read the paper or don't do any solitude or contemplative work but just piss your time away doing whatever !

      "sacred" indeed

in terms of the paper you are attempting to live in some "low critical" pretence that for you passes as "normality"

even in terms of your most recent reply, it's just some flaky unsubstantiated nonsense . . it needs some examples for a start but you are used to the hardcore zen blog and its wanking useless definitive statement

you need to re think your posting here, the assumption is i have experience and know what i am talking about, you are taking the view like zakaj that we are all equally valid

he got the message and in the end if you persist i am just going to start deleting your posts to enforce a six month ban

you really need to get back to what i wrote about the premise for this blog, that is , i know something and if am i am objecting to your recent attitude and posts there i s reason behind it that you need to look at

anyway you have three more posts and if imo you are still recalcitrant then i am enforcing a six month ban

basically you are not doing any contemplative work !

  4. I want to write horror stories AND children stories as a living though. I do desire solitude in North Carolina mountains, but I want immerse myself deeply into absolute terror and absolute peace. That's because I'm more of a Gnostic now.

I'm just asking why can't horror stories or poems be considered good artwork? I mean, you liked my play on Emil Cioran. My Emil Cioran play "The Mythical and Cynical" was horror, dude.

    1. you have not addressed the points i have raised

as far as i remember your one experience with solitude was a day in the north carolina mountains and it freaked you out so much you have avoided solitude ever since !

the play on emil cioran which you were a co author of was more balanced

      also its an original work

ok, horror stories and poems that are the posters own original work are permitted here !

    2. "ok, horror stories and poems that are the posters own original work are permitted here !"

I understand. I will give you my stories soon though.

I wasn't freaked out by the solitude in North Carolina btw. I just don't have the funds to do that. I agree with everything you say on solitude. I know for sure Algernon Blackwood got a lot of solitude btw. Check him out. The guy was a schizoid and had no relationship his whole life. I bet he was celibate too.

I aim for something like that but my own original work, ofc.

I wasn't the co-author to that play. I wrote it and my friend helped edited it. I was the main author.

    3. is it possible to get an hour of solitude a day ? if you can't get an hour, what about half an hour !

you need to increase your self awareness, see the vortices about which we all pivot . . believe me, when one sees that one gets alot more skeptical about life ! :o)

  5. Dammit, most of the stuff I typed was deleted due to difficulties with Google.

What I said is that besides the Internet to read, watching films with wife, and spending time with my cats, I am pretty much alone. getting solitude in rural areas can be dangerous even though i see the value compared to the hustle and bustle of suburban decadence.

Check out the film Kairo directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Solitude is our true state. No matter how much I try to reach out to others, I am always alone. Once you recognize this solipsistic truth, I think the solitude stretches everywhere, right?

    nup !

that's a specious rationalisation and just underlies the problem of you not being "self-aware" !

you are using entertainment as a proxy for the needed unstitching and restitching of self !

    1. But I am afraid to go alone in the woods because there are crazy psychopaths.

What do you mean by solitude in natural scenery? Does no one have to be around? I do walk a lot outside or in the mountain trail near here, which always has some tourists ofc.

      Delete
    2. just sitting or walking around in a quiet room where you live for half an hour !

natural scenery is nice but you can't do that all the time !

    3. an3drew, I always do that. Why do you think I see wisdom in you and listen to you then? It's because I see your perennial wisdom, since I have some similar experience but not to your magnitude. Your last poem "dice rolled" really moved me by the way, and just from reading that, I know you are enlightened.

I learn from you, and I have an intelligent friend, who's also a writer, where I talk about a lot of the concepts you bring up. Last night I went out alone to my car and talked to him about Deleuze, some artwork, Zen, etc. I think Deleuze really works well with Derrida so give him shot. Deleuze also values creativity and his whole philosophy is about processes.

I also walk alone a lot in my house without any distractions. I have my own house. I am almost always alone, save for the kitties.

Actually, I enjoy being alone. I have a bit of agoraphobia and am schizoid. I find it harder to be by people than away, and my father always pushes me to go out and socialize more.

My friend who I talked to, gets a lot of solitude too, and he recently wrote a short story if you're interested in reading it.

    4. yeah i'd be interested in the short story !

    6. its an ok short story, i wouldn't say 'amazing' and from a zen point of view a discard, waste of tiem !

i think you are being overinfluenced by him, what zen is about is different !

    7. I thought it wasn't written that well, and some points in the story are very random and don't fit in IMO.

Not sure I could write that well myself.

    8. jason, basically horror stories and films are superstitious, it's a different destructive paradigm of reality

    9. Do you like Edgar Allan Poe?

      Delete
    10. anything edgar allen poe writes is imbued with a deep sense of ultimate reality, he wasn't afraid to live in that creative/disordered space, you are afraid and it drives you to your continued promoting of nonsense !

your problem is that you don't stick to quality but imbibe trash !

trash has to be undone, i still feel damaged by reading that short story link you posted !

    11. Matthew helped me write the emil cioran story.

We're both heavily inspired by Edgar Allan Poe.

Didn't the Tell Tale Heart and Black Cat scare you? Masque of Red Death is also pretty scary.

Both horror and peace are absolute reality. Absolute reality is two, not one. That's why I'm a Manichaeist and Catharist now. I want to write horror that is aligned with absolute reality, and children stories that are aligned with absolute reality too. They cannot unify.

solitude is immensely important, i agree with you, but Zen is just bullshit. Gnosticism was far better.

    12. You say "horror stories and films are superstitious, it's a different destructive paradigm of reality"...

Do you realize how horrific Edgar Allan Poe's stories are, man? I agree with you, he was a master and had knowledge of ultimate reality, living in that disordered space.

So am I. I am like Justin from Melancholia, kinda.

    14. I think in this day and age you need to know how to handle a gun and always have one concealed for self-defense. It's kind of a necessity.

I've never touched a gun before, but I'm considering it for self-defense. We live in a time where there is violent media over-saturating the younger generation and others. They have been desensitized towards real-life violence and its unspeakable horrors.

    15. My dad has a couple pistols in the house, and a rifle and shotgun upstate. I've shot them before, but not well. When I get my own rifle I'm going to take a couple courses to up my marksmanship.

Couple of years ago I was hanging out with my girlfriend at the time at my house. It was time for her to leave and so she left, but a minute or two later I heard a door SLAM upstairs and then footsteps run out through the back door. I immediately thought a robber was in my house and I went into the cutlery cabinet to get a knife. I ran outside ready to stab somebody and protect my girlfriend, but turns out it was just my friend messing with me trying to scare me. I was definitely ready to stab somebody though.

    17. jason, you should look at the self defence laws in your state, i don't know what the situation is where you live but here you are only entitled to use lethal force if your own life is in danger, that is if you kill a burglar who presented no danger to you then you will do a lot of jail time !

Dotting the iodine on the gums gets me uppity, and the taste is foul
