  1. I agree with you that The Wreck of the Zephyr, Maxfield Parrish's artwork, and The Gardens of Abdul Gasazi did a better job of pointing to a "a secret well beyond our normal understanding..., some resting between the horns of the moon and circumambulation of any number of known and unknown universes with infinities light." They do a better job of inducing that sense of "magical wonder" in children.

Granted, The Raft wasn't that bad, and it encouraged children to get solitude in natural scenery and express their experiences through artwork. The raft is meant to represent the imagination of a child and how uses it a canvas to draw from his experiences.

    1. i think i was looking beyond the surface, she was viral, ocd and on " the autistic spectrum "

the degree of tattooing was extreme, in fact i wondered if the heavy facial make up was to cover some on her face ?

  4. Lana Del Rey a musical genius? Are you kidding me?

You have great taste in film and literature, but I wish I could say the same thing about music.

    1. are you going to at least explain why you don't like her, or are you just going to not like her 'just 'cause" ?

just because she's popular doesn't mean that she isn't a musical genius

    8. Plenty of great artists such as Borges to Bukowski were enamored by cats. That's because cats are Byronic heroes. You're an idiot for saying cats are a plebeian topic.

Cats have more depth and intricacies to their personalities than the pathetic existence of man. To truly bond with a kitty, and understand them, is not an easy thing. I say, only 3-5 percent of those people truly love their cats. Raising a cat with love and care is actually much harder than raising a child: they have nuanced nutritional needs, emotional needs, and etc. You also have to give them space.

Cats are never "owned" -- they are "family", but at the same time, their true home is in solitude. I watch my cats meditate all the time. They have more refined awareness and spatial memory than us.

    9. sepehr, its not about taste, its about penetrating surfaces

there are several good interviews with her on the web, why not research her a bit before coming to an opinion !

musically her output is uneven, from very good to obviously plagiarized . .

this unevenness is so autistic, a savant singer and ex alcoholic and now compulsive smoker, cancer is in her future for sure !

    15. Zakaj, I don't want to debate this. Cats act differently towards you depending on how you treat them. They have better spatial memory than dogs and are more spontaneous. They actually express creativity, and I have watched them meditate. Once I was doing Shikantaza, my cat walked in front of made the strangest reaction I have ever seen. I could tell he was making fun of me in a way, "Are you trying to focus, man? Well, I don't even have to TRY."

Cats have a Theory of Mind. They just don't know human culture. They are creatures of solitude, regal, and majestic. I don't need your shit.

If you ever harmed or insulted my cat son and cat sister-in-law, I would be more pissed than if you were to insult me.

    21. I don't want to debate this. The mirror test cannot test for everything.

      Also, I am masculine.

Cats are better than humans. They were a source of inspiration to great artists such as Borges and Bukowski. Bukowski wrote a lot of poems on cats:

He has a lot more on his cats too and he was masculine.
